“Just got back from from Windsurfing the Gorge in Oregon. My Frogi beat all my expectations, actually blew my socks off.  75 miles per hour with no noise, flapping or swaying.  By using budgie cords could pack as much as I wanted on bench seats and left floor space open. “Kathy and I left San Jose, Ca. with a destination of Fort Worth, Tx. to visit our son and family. We normally fly but found that we had 1 month and decided to drive.  I started researching the different types of campers and finally selected FROGI.

We traveled 6,700 plus miles visiting 6 National Parks and numerous National Forests.  We camped in temperatures as low as 27 and high as 100 plus degrees encountering high winds and 5 straight days of rain or as they told us in Colorado it was the monsoon season.

FROGI exceeded all expectations. It was roomy, comfortable and the quality stood up to the various situations that we faced in our journey. The big surprises included gas mileage, we actually got better gas mileage outside of California even with Frogi up.  The second surprise is that FROGI is a great conversation starter, everywhere we stopped people wanted to look inside and ask questions.  One individual took us to his favorite camp ground at a fish hatchery outside of town and not on any map.

We are now getting ready to go to the Sierra’s.  FROGI is fun and made ours a perfect trip beyond expectations.“

A bunch of my good friends of mine and I decided to head out to Leo Carrillo State Park with a few truck tents and camp out for the weekend. So off we went with dog in tow *woof*. Before we unbolted the Frogi’s we had lunch and played some cards, nobody could get over the headroom. We just sat on the built-in benches and popped up the table.

I have to tell you everyone was really happy that when we arrived into camp, the only setup was just getting that fire going and unbolting the Frogi’s from the truck beds and just relaxing. Once we inflated the air mattresses and laid out the sleeping bags, we were set for the weekend and had a great time.

Ever find yourself wishing for an easier way to enjoy the outdoors? Own a Truck?

I have been enjoying the outdoors for most of my entire life, going up and down the state, and Southwest camping, prospecting and fishing. Always packing up the truck with all the gear needed to sustain our selves for a few days of outdoor fun.

One of my biggest pet peeves is getting in late to the campground with no daylight left and having to unpack and set up the tent. You can see where I’m headed. I began to conceive this idea about, what if I created a tent that sat on the truck already setup. What if I arrived into camp and I could just detach the tent from the truck and pull out my sleeping bag and go to sleep and not look for all the parts to assemble my tent with a flashlight in the dark. Then the next day I could get up early and get to fishing right away and not be tired from the night before, because I was up all night searching for that darn elusive tent stake.

And so I began creating prototypes at home, where over the next few years it evolved into Frogi for short and long bed trucks that is easy to assemble in 30 minutes and is rigid for highway driving.
